Welcome to the campus of the University of California, Santa Cruz. We are delighted to serve as host for the 2006 NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis National Championships and be a part of the intercollegiate athletic experience. The entire campus and community are excited about assisting coaches, student-athletes, parents and fans in experiencing a fantastic few days of excellent women’s tennis.
Student-athletes have put in thousands of hours toward their athletics and academics and have achieved a level of excellence that comes to very few; advancing to a National Championship, and we commend them for it. We recognize their coaches for their dedication in preparing their student-athletes for this, the biggest tennis challenge of their young lives. And, a special thank you to parents for all their encouragement and support for their student. It is a privilege and honor to be a part of an NCAA event of this magnitude, the highest level of competition in Division III, and join everyone in the excitement and friendship these next few days will bring. -- Linda Spradley, Athletic Director |
