
Club Sports involve less formal collegiate competition, with men's andwomen's teams in fencing, lacrosse, rugby, sailing, triathlon, running,clycing, and ultimate frisbee.
For runners of all persuasions. In all seasons. For all reasons. Thisyear, the Running Club will offer training for competitive runners as wellas conditioning for fitness runners. Most important, the Club offers anopportunity for runners to train AND socialize. The Running Club is open to all students, staff and faculty at the Universityof California, Santa Cruz. Workouts may vary. Call for times. All regularworkouts (see training schedule) begin at the East Field track. Long runsare held Sundays, on and off campus, every other week. Requirements for Participation: - 1. Participants must be undergraduate, graduate, faculty or staff members of UCSC. Spouses, friends, community members are not eligible.
- 2. All participants MUST have medical insurance, and show proof of insurance before participating.
- 3. Teams must have at least 75% of its roster made up of current UCSC undergraduate students.
- 4. Teams must have a faculty or staff advisor, a manager and/or coach.
- 5. Teams must remain in good standing with OPERS and adhere to all policies set forth in the Club Sports Manual.
