Gina Parisi joined the UCSC sports medicine team in September of 2017 and handles competitve club sports not under the NCAA umbrella. She earned her bachelors of science degree with an emphasis in Athletic Training at College of Charleston in 2011. Gina then attended University of Utah as a graduate assistant Athletic Trainer for Tennis, completing her Master of Science in Exercise and Sport Science in 2013. Upon graduating, Gina continued to develop her skills as a clinician in Shanghai, China with the Institute for Western Surgery.
Gina’s interests in the mind-body connection relating to injury led her to training in holistic forms of medicine including Yoga and Ayurveda. These ancient systems of medicine inform Gina’s Athletic Training practice today.
Gina enjoys playing in the mountains on a bike, snowboard, or hiking boots, cooking up something delicious in her kitchen, and exploring the California central coast.
