Candice, originally from Illinois,
has been in California
for 11 years and joined the UCSC Athletic Training Staff as a Graduate
Assistant Athletic Trainer in August of 2007. In May of the same year,
she graduated from San Jose
State University
with a B.S. in Kinesiology with an athletic training concentration. She
is currently in the Athletic Training Graduate Program at SJSU where she
plans on getting her Masters degree and taking some sport psychology classes
as well. Candice has done internships at various facilities such as universities,
colleges, high schools, and physical therapy clinics.
Since Candice was an athlete herself competing in
basketball and track and field, she enjoys watching sports, learning about
injuries, and finding the best way to get someone back out on the court,
field, pool, etc. When not at work, she likes to go out with friends and
family, watch movies, and cook. "I do this job to help athletes not
for extrinsic rewards, which are seldom given in this profession."
