More Hat Tricks Kick Record up to 15-1

SANTA CRUZ, CA -- Freshman Jeff Meyer recorded a hat trick in the first half, and UC Santa Cruz rolled over St. Mary's (Minn.) 9-0.

The Slugs scored five times in the opening period, including Bryan Baird's 17th goal of the season. Baird has scored in all but two of the Slugs' games.

"We have a very technical athletic team," UCSC coach Paul Holocher said. "We have a lot of guys that can score, and we score from both sides of the field. It makes it fun to find out who's going to help the team with goals each day."
