Banana Slugs have 3 All-American Selections to the 2014-15 AVCA
LEXINGTON, KY -- The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) is proud to announce its 12th annual AVCA Men's Division III All-America Teams. 

Leading the way is Stevens Institute of Technology with a total of four athletes honored on the first and second teams. Juniata, Nazareth, Springfield and UC Santa Cruz are next in line with three All-Americans each. Dominican, Elmira and SUNY New Paltz register two award winners. 

Juniata's Joe Bortak is the only player in this year's class to have earned AVCA All-American accolades all four years. Stevens' Tim Ferriter, Nazareth's Luke Lawatsch and Juniata's Paul Kuhn have been named an AVCA All-American three times. Kean's Bez Arslani, Stevens' David Evans, Springfield's Angel Perez and Keaton Pieper, SUNY New Paltz's Christian Smith, Nazareth's Tim Zyburt and Juniata's Chad Albert round out the All-Americans in this year's class who have taken home the honor multiple times.

The selections were made by the AVCA Men's Division III Volleyball All-America Committee: chairperson Charlie Sullivan (Springfield), Cal Wickens (Nazareth), Scott Wright (Regis), Even Giglio (Wentworth IT), Richard Gary (Wells), Todd Hollenbeck (UC Santa Cruz), Ray Bello (Hunter), Dan Ames (Dominican), Hudson Bates (Marymount) and Robert Cole (NJCU).
