STOCKTON (1-28) – The Banana Slugs took part in their final dual match of the season as they took on NCAA Division I member University of the Pacific. The Tigers won twenty-two of the twenty six events that took place and won 281-160 over the Banana Slugs.
In the men's competition, the Banana Slugs had participants finish in the top ten in all thirteen events and in twelve of those events, they had participants finish in the top five. Individually, Casey Collella (200 yard IM) and Sean Hoang (500 yard freestyle) won one event apiece. As a team, the Banana Slugs' best finish was in the 200 yard freestyle relay in which they finished second.
The women's team had participants finish in the top ten in all twelve events in they took part and finished in the top five in eleven of those events. Individually, Ellen Curry (200 yard IM) and Megan Roby (500 yard freestyle) won one event apiece. As a team, the Banana Slugs' best finish was second in the 200 yard freestyle relay.
The Tigers won all three team competitions. The Tigers won the overall competition 281-160, won the men's competition 138-74 and the women's competition 143-86.
The Banana Slugs will prepare for the Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference Championships. The event will take place between February 8th-11th at East Los Angeles Community College in Monterey Park.
