NEW ORLEANS – Five UC Santa Cruz track athletes earned All West Region honors for the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season as announced on  Sunday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay team.

The women were led by seniors Raissa Boysen and Shannon McClish, who each had two All Region nods. Boysen was honored for the 800 and 1,500 meters, while McClish was honored for running in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters. Both women hold the school records in each of the events they were honored in. It is McClish's second All Region nod in the 10,000 in her career as she competes for a national title later this week in Ohio.

Junior Jordynn Dorado was named All-Region for the second straight year, this time in the Discus throw.

On the men's side, Mason Pierce repeated as All-Region in the Pole Vault. Paul Colosi also earned All-Region for the second year straight, adding a 10,000 meter award to his 5,000 honor last season.
