UC Santa Cruz women's basketball team will enjoy the comforts of home quite often this coming season.
Coming off a 9-13 season that had ten home games, the Banana Slugs will play fifteen games in 2018-19 at either Kaiser Permanente Arena or the West Field House.
The season begins with hosting NAIA schools Oregon Tech and Cal Maritime on November 9th and 11th. After a trip to Cal Lutheran the next weekend, the team plays the first of four home tournaments when they host the Thanksgiving Classic against Carleton College of Minnesota and Lewis & Clark.
The Banana Slugs host Pacific Union on December 2nd before facing SCIAC schools Pomona-Pitzer and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps December 8th and 9th in Claremont.
The Slugs are then home the rest of 2018, with three tournaments on three-straight weekends and finishing with a matchup against Worcester State (MA) on New Years Eve.
UCSC has four games in January, beginning with a trip to Saint Katherine in San Marcos January 19th before a quick turnaround to host Bethesda University on the 20th. The team travels to play Pacific Union on the 24th before closing the month at home with Saint Katherine.
After opening February with trips Southern California on consecutive weekends, the schedule finishes with first-time opponent Westcliff University on February 23rd.
