Coach Susan Shapiro has been coaching basketball competitively since 1989 and is entering into her third season with the Slug's Basketball program. Coach Shapiro's passion for the game has had an immediate impact on the program. "Susan emphasis on the fundamentals of the game has help lead our program to new levels of success over the past three seasons", stated Coach Kent. Coach Shapiro has significant amount of experience in both the AAU and High School levels.  Coach Shapiro's primary program responsibilities include recruiting and guard development.

Academically Susan has a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Law and graduated in June 2010 with a Masters Degree in Recreational Science with an emphasis in Coaching Education. Her intent is to continue and obtain her PhD. She is married with three children.
