TEMPLE, TX – The UC-Santa Cruz women's golf team opened fall play with a third-place team finish at the UMHB Fall Invitational. The Banana Slugs carded a 370 first round, followed with a 10-stroke improvement 360 second round score for a 730 total. Consisting of a freshman and sophomore line up each of the five UCSC participants finished in the top 30. Sophomore Angela McElroy led the team with 93-79=172 performance to place in a tie for 10th. Freshman Olivia Bean (92-90=182) tied for 17th, sophomore Victoria Saucedo (92-95=187) placed 21st, sophomore Ravipa Losakul (93-96=189) finished 22nd and freshman Victoria Ly (94-104=198) rounds out the UCSC players with at 27th.
