Senior Middle Blocker Kellie Graves was named the Great South Athletic Conference volleyball player of the week in a vote by the league's media relations directors.
Graves hit .400 this past weekend as the Slugs broke a four-game losing streak with wins at Redlands and Chapman. On Sunday against Chapman, she tallied a career-high of 16 kills and hit .464 with 5 total blocks as UCSC won a tough four-set match.
She's the second UCSC player to win player of the week following Maya Lloyd two weeks ago.
For the season Graves now leads the team in hitting (.271) and solo blocks (14) heading into her final home game this Saturday against Mills.
