Sophomore Tatum Novitzky has been tabbed the Association of Division III Independents women's volleyball Player of the Week.
Tatum set the single-match school record by hitting .833 against Cal Tech on Saturday with 20 kills on 24 attacks with no errors. She tied Katie English's 2008 school record for most kills in a three-set match.
The mark was the highest one-match hitting percentage in the country this year and sixth-best alltime for those with a minimum of 20 attacks. Novitzky followed that up with 21 kills and 18 digs against Redlands, hitting .315 in the process. She concluded the week with a double-double by way of 11 kills and 11 digs in the Slugs' win over Chapman on Sunday.
Novitzky ended the week hitting .300 with 60 kills, 46 digs and 4.00 kills per set.
