This is Danielle Techner's first full year as the
Assistant Athletic Trainer at UCSC. After she graduated with her
Master's in Athletic Training she began working at a local clinic.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in
Kinesiology; Exercise Science and Fitness in 2009 from San
Francisco State University. During her undergraduate education she
volunteered in the athletic training rooms at Skyline College and
City College of San Francisco. She received her Master of
Science degree in Athletic Training in 2011. She completed the
first year of her Masters of Science in Athletic Training at the
University of Hawaii Manoa where she worked with the UH Football
and Women's Basketball teams as well as various sports at a local
high school. The final year of her program was completed at
Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts where she worked with
BSU Men's Soccer, Women's Basketball, and Baseball.
She is certified in SpiderTech Tape application,
administration of the Functional Movement Screen, and to teach TRX
Suspension Training classes for sports medicine. She has also been
a certified lifeguard since 2006.
Danielle is a Santa Cruz native who enjoys swimming, running,
and any outdoor activity.
