UC Santa Cruz Slugs Land Solid Southern California Recruit

SANTA CRUZ, CA -- The UCSC Slugs were able to land a solid Southern California star, Trent Reeves, of Ventura High School.

Trent, a big time shooter, 40% 3pt and 48% from the field as well as 3rpg, 2.5apg and 3spg, will help the Slugs improve on their overall 12-14 record (against one of the toughest D-3 schedules in the country).

Trent was named to 2nd team All Channel League and was one of the main contributors on a League Champion, CIF Finalist and State Playoff qualifier team.

Head Coach Gordon Johnson really likes what Trent will bring to the table. “I really like Trent’s ability to defend on the perimeter and how he’s able to finish in transition. With our aggressive, in your face defensive style and up-tempo attack style of offense, Trent is going to fit right in.”

Trent is also going to be a great fit academically with his 4.0gpa.
