UC Santa Cruz Slugs Land Southern California JC Recruit

SANTA CRUZ, CA --The UCSC Slugs were able to land a solid Southern California JC star, Nathan Mohri, of Rio Honda Junior College.

Nathan is a quick, aggressive, pass and defend first point guard and was a two year team captain.  Nathan averaged 9 pts, 5 apg, and 2 spg, and had several double digit assist games throughout his JC career.

Coach Johnson loves what Nate is going to bring to the table.  “After seeing Nate play several times, I love the way he controls the floor.  He can get a shot anytime he wants, but he would rather set-up a teammate. With the scorers we have on the team this is going to get more people involved in the offense.  I also love the way he takes on the challenge of defending his position and takes charge of the whole defense”.

Adding Nate to the backcourt with his cousin senior, Darrin Lew and freshman, Spencer Wells is going to give UCSC a solid backcourt for years to come.
