HIGH SCHOOL: Sacramento High won three straight Metro League titles and three straight Sac-Joaquin titles. In his junio year, the team was undefeated in the Metro League, won the Sac-Joaquin CIF Sectional Title and played in the Northern California Championship game. As a senior, team went 27-6 and 12-2 in league. James helped the team once again capture the Sac-Joaquin CIF Sectional Title. The team advanced to the Northern California semi finals in 2011. James earned 2nd team All Metro League honors. James was coached by the highly successful Derek Swafford in high school. Team made it to the quarterfinals of CIF D3 David’s senior year. PERSONAL: James was born on May 7, 1993 in Sacramento, California. Parents are Vonzell Pierson and Marilyn Townsend. Has two sisters, Cierra and Genesis and a brother, Ben.
