HIGH SCHOOL: Two-time All League player at Middletown High School. Tyler was League Co-MVP, two Time All Lake County, and Lake County MVP as a senior. Also was two time Redwood Empire Small Schools including Co-MVP in 2008. As a three year varsity athlete, Tyler led the league in scoring and rebounds in his junior and senior years. He averaged 15.7 points and pulled down 13.0 rebounds a game as a junior. Coached by Mike Mullins. During his time at Middletown, he helped lead team to a league title and the Northern Section CIF Playoffs.

2009-2010: Played in 25 games as a freshman. Had a double double against Whitworth College where Tyler led the team in points (20) and rebounds (10). Also had 3 steals in that game and was 8-10 from the field. Was 4 for 4 beyond the arc that night.

2010-2011: Was a perfect 4 for 4 from the free throw line against Merced. Scored 17 points in that game. Also scored 16 against Simpson to lead the team.

PERSONAL: Tyler was born on May 30, 1990 in Middletown, California. The son of Susan Hunt. He has two brothers, Jason and Brian. In high school, was a Presidential Scholar and received Golden Mustang Awards for Academic Excellence in Math, Science and History
