Andrusaitis Leads the Ways for the Slugs Second Win in a Row

The Women's Basketball team is 2-0 to start off the New Year as they defeated Cal State Maritime 59-40. Sophomore forward Jessica Andrusaitis lead the way recording her first double-double of the season finishing with 16 points and 12 rebounds, shooting 40% from the field. Junior guard Kayleigh Calandri also scored in double figures finishing with 14 points. This brings Calandri's career total points to 918, making her second on the All-Time scoring list. Calandri is right on track to hit the 1,000 point mark which will make her the first player to accomplish that task in the history of the program.

Senior center Sarah Adamson also had a great performance, scoring 9 points (57% from the field) and grabbing 5 rebounds, 4 which came off the offensive glass. Junior forward Melissa Junge and Sophomore forward Molly Davission both finished with 8 points.

Next the Slugs will travel to Rocklin, CA where they will face William Jessup University on Saturday, January 19th at 5:30pm. This will be a payback game for the Slugs. These two teams faced eachother back on November 28th where the Slugs lost by two, 50-52.
