Slugs Women's Basketball team Comeback Falls Short
SANTA CRUZ, CA--After a month of intense preparation, the Slugs Women’s Basketball Team opened their season on Wednesday, 11/17/10 with a home game against Menlo at the UCSC West Field House. The Slugs got off to a slow start in the first half. The second half proved a different story with the Slugs stepping up the energy level and effort. The enthusiastic and raucous crowd motivated the Slugs to a second half comeback that fell short. Coach Kent is looking to continue to build on the increased effort and energy to ensure better execution. Next, the Slugs travel to Spokane, Washington for the Whitworth Shootout Basketball Classic 11/19 - 20/10.
