Todd Kent Hired as the New Slug Women's Basketball Coach

SANTA CRUZ, CA-- The 2009-2010 Women's Basketball season will have a new face come this fall. After five seasons at UCSC, Head Coach Nikki Turner has accepted the Head Assistant Coach position at DII Cal State University East Bay, effective July 1st. Turner will continue at UCSC through June to wrap up her administrative duties as the Assistant Athletic Director and Sports Information Director and to assist with the transition of a new head coach. Calandri and Davisson Receive Player of the Year and All-Independent Honors

KANSAS CITY, MO -- Kayleigh Calandri, a senior guard from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and Erica Davis, a senior forward from the University of Maine, Presque Isle, were named the co-players of the year as the All-Independent Women’s Basketball teams were announced today by the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I).  (more)
