Nikki Turner enters her fourth season with the UC Santa Cruz women's basketball team. Prior to her position with UC Santa Cruz, Turner served as an assistant coach for San Jose State. From 2001-02, Turner served as an intern with Stanford women's basketball team before moving on to the Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA as the team's video coordinator.

Turner is a former collegiate player, spending two seasons at Chico State from 1997-99. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts in Sociology from the University before completing her Masters degree in Sports Administration. While working on her Masters degree, she also spent two seasons as an assistant coach with the Chico State women's basketball team.

As a player, she was a team captain and a two-time All-Conference selection. Prior to attending Chico State, Turner played two seasons at the College of the Canyons in Valencia, Calif.

Zabia Geisreiter
Student Assistant Coach - Women's Basketball
 

In her senior year at UCSC, Zabia is in her first year as a student assistant with the Women's Basketball team. After undergoing reconstructive ankle surgery prior to her Junior year, Zabia has made the decision to transition from player to assistant coach due to the surgery hindering her ability to play at 100%. After her June graduation, Zabia is planning on attending graduate school at UCSC in education while continuing as a graduate assistant for the Women's Basketball team.

Lauren Cardinalli
Assistant Coach - Women's Basketball
 

Lauren Cardinalli is in her second year as an Assistant for the Women's Basketball Team.  "LO" has aided the female student-athletes by setting up and monitoring their weight conditioning program.  As the Academic Advisor, she has made a team objective of maintaining above a 3.0 average.  Under her third year of Head Coach Nikki Turner, Lo is really excited to be part of the Cruz Athletics Coaching Staff.

Lauren is a recent graduate of UCSC, B.S. Degree in Earth Sciences focusing on Environmental Geology and Water Toxicology.  Being a 4 time Slug baller, she has excelled on and off the court and is preparing for graduate school.  As a CIF 2002 Division II State Champion, Lo understands the dedication it will take as an assistant to strengthen the women's program toward a winning season.
