Women's Golf Strong in Texas

The Mary Hardin Baylor Invitational was held on Monday and Tuesday at Mill
Creek Country Club in Salado Texas. DIII golf teams were well represented
with teams from Oregon, Minnesota, California and Texas. The slugs went
into the golf tournament with high aspirations and ended up in a tie for
seventh place with McMurray College. Using our fifth score in a scorecard
playoff we came home with seventh place. We had a rough first day, and did
our best to recover on the second. Stephanie and Meghan Bishop came up big
both shooting 86 on the final day to move us up two spots. Megan (Junior)
Gochoco a freshman on our team had a nine hole best in her first tournament
for the slugs, a 43.

The slugs will be hosting their own tournament on March 12th and 13th at
Pasatiempo. Cal State Monterey Bay, CSU East Bay, Claremont McKenna,
Concordia Irvine will all be there.
