October 16, 2007 Wome's Golf Rally On Second Day To Defeat Bruins
Under rainy and wet conditions on a course rated as one of the top 100 public courses in the country, the Slugs fired an impressive team score of 348 and overcame an eight-stroke deficit after Sunday’s round, while the Bruins dropped to a 379 second-day score. Jessie Lewis of UCSC fired a low round of 41-38=79 Monday to capture medalist honors with a two-day score of 166, and Halley Sutton was right behind with a 44-39=83 to take second with a collective score of 172. The Bruins’ Brianna Nap, who led with an 84 after the first round, held on for third place, shooting a 49-45=94 to finish at 178.
