Golf Jessie Lewis selected to All-West Region
SANTA CRUZ, CA
-- Junior Jessie Lewis was selected to the Division III Alll West

Golf finish 9th at the Jack Leaman Championship
AMHERST,MA --
The UCSC women's golf team is playing in the 31st Jack Leaman Championship
in Amherst MA. This tournament is the oldest Dlll women's golf tournament

Golf Currently in 11th Place
SALADO, TX -- The University of
Mary Hardin-Baylor women's golf team struggled to put together five
consistent rounds and the Cru women are tied for ninth place after
the first round of the UMHB Spring Invitational Monday afternoon in
Salado. UC Santa Cruz is 11th with a 371, Texas Lutheran
University is in 12th place with a 378 and Schreiner University
is 13th with a 381 team total. (more)

Women's Golf Rally On Second Day To Defeat
Bruins
NORTH
PLAINS,
Ore.
- Experience - specifically national tournament experience and veteran
leadership - overtook youth Monday as the nationally-ranked University
of California-Santa Cruz Banana Slugs rallied to defeat the George
Fox University Bruins 716-739 in a women's golf dual match here
at the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club's Ghost Creek course.
Under
rainy and wet conditions on a course rated as one of the top 100 public
courses in the country, the Slugs fired an impressive team score of
348 and overcame an eight-stroke deficit after Sunday's round, while
the Bruins dropped to a 379 second-day score. Jessie Lewis of UCSC
fired a low round of 41-38=79 Monday to capture medalist honors with
a two-day score of 166, and Halley Sutton was right behind with a
44-39=83 to take second with a collective score of 172. (more)

UC Santa Cruz Dual Match: Bruins
Lead Slugs by 8 Strokes after 18 Holes
NORTH
PLAINS, Ore.
- Led by Brianna Nap's 84, the George Fox University Bruins took an
eight-stroke lead, 360 to 368, over the University of California-Santa
Cruz Banana Slugs after the first day and 18 holes in a women's golf
dual match Sunday afternoon here at the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club's Ghost
Creek course.
Nap carded
a 42-42=84 for a three-stroke individual lead over Santa
Cruz's Jessie Lewis, who shot a 45-42=87. Other counting
scores for the Bruins were 45-44=89 by Mandy Cameron, 49-43=92 by Nicole
Hudson, and 45-50=92 by Christine Collier. The Slugs got counting
scores of 46-43=89 by Halley Sutton, 47-47=94 by Alison Aragon, and
two players shot 98: 50-48=98 for Megan Gochoco and 49-49=98 for Laura

Women's Golf Jessie Lewis Breaks
Record
In the opening day of the DePauw
Fall Classic in DePauw Indiana, Junior, Jessie Lewis shot a 76, shooting
the best score in UCSC Women's Golf history. The tournament will end
tomorrow, but today's results are as follows: Jessie Lewis (76), Halley
Sutton (82), Alison Aragon (89), and Megan Gochoco (98).

Women's Golf Places 20th In Season
Opener
The UC Santa Cruz Women's
Golf team traveled to Illinois for their opening tournament. The Slugs
finished as team at number 20 in the Illinois Wesleyan Fall Invitational.
Jessie Lewis (pictured left) finished with a 9th place individually,
shooting 78-78.
Next, the Slugs will travel
to Depauw Indiana for the Depauw Fall Classic on September 22nd and
23rd. (more)
