UCSC Women's Golf finish 9th at the Jack Leaman Championship

AMHERST,MA -- The UCSC women's golf team is playing in the 31st Jack Leaman Championship in Amherst MA. This tournament is the oldest Dlll women's golf tournament in the United States.

After the first day of play on Saturday, Jessie Lewis had the lowest round for the slugs firing an 85. Halley Sutton shot 87, Alison Aragon 99, Megan Gochoco 95, and Tessa Dahlen shot 104. Coach Pera was knew her Slugs had quite a bit of ground to make up to catch the rest of the field, but she was confident they could do it. The Lady Slugs took the green on Sunday at the Orchards, which was a US Open venue in 2002.
