The CMS Invitational

ONTARIO,CA -- The CMS Invitational was held in Ontario California and was the final tournament for the fall season. Charlotte Gibson made the highlight reel with an eagle on the 5th hole a par 5. The Slugs took home a 5th place finish, middle of the pack of a field of 11 teams. We had a good showing from our top three players Charlotte 80-82 (T4), Alice Trisri 87-83 and Yukari Shickishima with a final 82-85. So far Yukari is having her best season performance in her junior year and is looking better every day. The fourth and fifth players on the squad, Freshman Julieta Solis and Sophmore Kayley Duxbury struggled to shoot rounds to put the Slugs into contention. We will strive to improve for the spring season opener in March hosted by Mary Hardin Baylor in TempleTexas. Our hopes are to get started as we did in Texas in the fall and carry that over into our last 2 tournaments of the year. UCSC hosts at Pasatiempo in March and then our team travels east to play in Amherst MA, The Jack Leaman Intercolligate.
