Chamberlain Announces UC Santa Cruz Nike Elite Camp Dates
Santa Cruz, CA -- UC Santa Cruz men's soccer coach Dan Chamberlain announced the dates for the Summer Nike Elite Camp. The camp for boys ages 14-18 will take place June 26-29 on the beautiful UC Santa Cruz campus. The cost is $545 for residential participants and $445 for commuters. January 25, 2008 Adam Smarte Taken as 1st Pick in MLS Supplemental Draft
SAN JOSE, CA -- With the first overall pick in the MLS Supplemental Draft the San Jose Earthquakes drafted, UC Santa Cruz standout Adam Smarte. Smarte becomes the fourth player in UC Santa Cruz history to play in the MLS, joining Steve Wondolowski (Huston Dynamo), David Frank (Huston Dynamo) and Aaron Lanes (San Jose Earthquakes, Huston Dynamo). Smarte is the first UC Santa Cruz player to be drafted. (more)
Former Slug Wondolowski Wins MLS Cup With Houston Dynamo
Former Slug standout Steve Wondolowski became the second UC Santa Cruz Alumni to win an MLS Cup Championship in as many years. Steve joins 2004 Alum, Aaron Lanes, not only as the second UC Santa Cruz player in the MLS, but also the second to earn an MLS Championship ring. (more)
