SAN JOSE, CA -- Former UCSC standout, Aaron Lanes has joined the San Jose Earthquakes, a Major League Soccer Team (MLS) as a developmental player, after spending time training with the club and appearing in three reserve games as a guest player. A former star at Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, CA, Lanes led UC-Santa Cruz to a 22-2 record and a second place finish in the NCAA Division-III Championship Game as a senior last season. The captain of the team and a 2005 NSCAA All-West-Region second team selection, Lanes is a tough-minded midfielder who was named the Association of Division III Independents Defensive Player of the Year.
