Wheeler and Slug Defense Top the Nation

Junior Goalkeeper Jared Wheeler has had a standout year for the Men's Soccer team.  He has posted 13 shutouts on the year, and only given up 4 goals in 15 games.  Those stats were good enough to rank him and the Slug defense as some of the best in the Nation.  Wheeler currently ranks 5th among all goalkeepers in Goals Against Average, and 12th in Save Percentage.  The Slugs team defense leads the Nation in Shutout Percentage with 14 shutouts in 16 games, and is ranked 3rd in Goals Against Average, only conceding 4 goals on the year.

While the Slug Defense has been stellar, the offense is not far behind.  Lead by Senior Steve Wondolowski, and Junior Harry Abraham, the Slugs are currently ranked 14th in Scoring Offense with 52 goals on the year for an average of 3.25 goals a game.
