HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Bishop Montgomery in 2006. While in High School he recieved 1st Team All League in 2006, and Defensive Player of the Year in 2005 and 2006.

PERSONAL: He is the son of Jeff and Lisa Mahowald and has four siblings Mitch, 11, Meghan, 18, Jeffrey, 21, and Brennan, 22.
