Women's Soccer loses preseason game to Western Oregon

SANTA CRUZ-- The University of California Santa Cruz Women's Soccer team lost a preseason scrimmage to visiting University of Western Oregon on Monday by a score of 2-1. UCSC Forward Danielle Pellicano scored the first goal just 10 minutes into the match, but goals by the Wolves' Mariel Chandler and Julian DeBode would give Western Oregon the win.

Women's Soccer will open its regular season on Saturday against Whitworth College at UCSC's Upper East Field.
