Women's Soccer Gets National Recognition UC Santa Cruz Katie Loomis (Junior), Megan Cox (Junior), and Annick Lamb (Sophomore) have been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Far West Region Team for 2006. The trio led the Lady Slugs to an outstanding season finishing with a record of 17-0-4 and advancing to the NCAA Championship Tournament for the first time since 2002. Cox, selected as a First Team Defender, from Alta Loma, CA, was instrumental in leading the team to a record 18 shutouts. Her flawless one vs one defending and great cover support was exceptional. Her aggressive play helped UCSC limit their opponents to 3 goals on the season.
