Returning to the NCAA post-season championships for the second year in a row the lady slugs took another step towards competing for the DIII Title. All 4 graduating senior players, Katie Loomis, Didi Ramirez, Megan Cox and Danielle Mullen received honors, acknowledgement of their contribution during their four years and the success and prominence that they were able to achieve. December 3, 2007 Both UCSC Soccer Programs receive NSCAA Team Academic Award SANTA CRUZ, CA -- A total of 406 soccer teams (111 men, 295 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2006-2007 academic year. Of that total, UC Santa Cruz is one of the 71 schools that had their Men's and Women's programs both recognized. This is the second year in a row that the Women's program has received this very prestigious award. Mullen scored her fifth and sixth goals of the season in a 5-0 win over Cal State East Bay on Nov. 3. Her first goal proved to be the game-winner.
