UC Santa Cruz Women's Soccer Player ID Clinics 2012
This winter spring and summer we will be holding Player Identification Clinic sessions at UC Santa Cruz.
PLAYER ID CLINICS
February 10-12, 2012 - WINTER
April 13-15, 2012 - SPRING
The 3-day player ID clinic field sessions are a great way for our staff to see you play on site and also give you the opportunity to meet the current players in the program and see the level here at UCSC. We do not have a big recruiting budget to travel to tournaments, so the best way for us to see you play is for you to attend one or more of our ID clinics. The winter and spring ID clinics are designed to help players get a sense of the program and show your skills to our staff prior to the matriculation deadline in May. Sessions follow a one-a-day day pattern with warm-ups, fitness and agility, small-sided sessions and smaller 6v6 games. Players secure their own housing for the 2 night stay. We offer a meeting with staff, potential class visit, and tour of campus in addition to the field sessions.
You will find all the applications materials for the winter and spring ID Clinics attached. Please email us to secure your spot and submit your paperwork ASAP via email fax or snail mail. See the application materials for more details about the time of the field sessions.
3 sessions: $125
2 sessions: $95
1 session: $75
AUGUST 5-8, 2012 - ADVANCED PLAYER DEVELOPMENT RESIDENTIAL CAMP
Our August residential camp is designed to act as a training ground for our incoming recruits and interested players alongside our current squad. The August camp is a great way to prep for tryouts in mid august when fall tryouts and double days begin. Players are housed on campus and experience life as they would as a future student-athlete. Sessions follow a double and triple day pattern with warm-ups, fitness and agility, small-sided sessions and larger 11v11 games.
Applications materials for the August APDC will go live in a few months, but mark your calendars now!
As a new head coach for the program, I am committed to carrying on the competitive level of UCSC Women's Soccer and the team's goal of heading to the NCAA playoffs each year. In seeking out talented and committed recruits to the program who take fitness and dedication seriously, we can continue striving as a team towards these goals. I look forward to seeing you out on our pitch soon for a clinic or camp. Please contact me ASAP at my cell or office below or via email if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Emily Scheese
