November 11, 2007 Slug’s Swim in Home Opener against University of Denver Senior Erin Hunter earned an NCAA automatic qualifying time in the 400 IM with a time of 4:31.82. That time currently ranks her first in all of Division 3 swimming. Erin’s time of 2:11.65 was enough to place her first in the 200 butterfly as well. Other event winners for the Slugs were Stephanie Luu in the 100 backstroke (1:02.25), Kate O’niell in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.44), and Andra Steinbergs in the 50 freestyle (25.25). Sophomore breaststroker Nolan Rogers stated that: “We had some really fast swims, and it was a good warm up for next weekend.” The slugs will head down to Long Beach on Wednesday to swim at Nike Cup. |
