Swim Team Completes Ian Carney Memorial Santa Cruz to Monterey Trans-Bay Swim

SANTA CRUZ, CA -- The UC Santa Cruz Swim team completed their annual Ian Carney Memorial Trans-Bay Swim on October 5th. Two relay teams fo six swimmers from the UCSC Swim Team swam from Santa Cruz Seabright Beach to Monterey, by the Harbor. The Trans-Bay swim is approximately 26 miles, with each team alternating swimmers every 20 minutes. All relay swimmers swam the last mile to Monterey.

The swim team would like to thank all their sponsors: the Santa Cruz Aquatic Masters Swim Team, Club Aquatics Sports Shop, UCSC Boating, and all the volunteers that made this swim possible.
