April 29, 2008 Slugs Head to Claremont for the First Round of Nationals this Weekend
Dear Slug Fans,
It’s Nationals Time, the draws have been completed and we are set to go! If you would like to see the entire NCAA Tennis Draw you can get it at: http://www.ncaa.com/tennis-mens/default.aspx?id=476 . We open with Redlands University which represents the highest two nationally ranked teams of any first round match. As usual the west is stacked and the team coming from our region will be battle tested and ready. I think and feel that is us! Coming off a very good Ojai we are playing well up and down the lineup. We will be flying down on Friday so that players can make Friday classes and will have a bit less wear and tear from avoiding another drive to LA as this will be our fourth trip in the last month in that direction. We look forward to having our Slug fans out in big numbers as we venture into a hostile environment near home for both of our opponents. I want to thank in advance all our great fans and supporters for creating the wonderful competitive environment that allows our players to be so successful. Without your help we could not accomplish all we are able to do and it is greatly appreciated. Times have not been set buy my guess is we will play on Sat afternoon and hopefully Sun around noon.
