April 24, 2008 Slugs are Headed to Ojai
Dear Slug Fans,
We are around the turn and headed for home! We are off today to play in the Ojai Div lll West Region singles and doubles championships this weekend. This wonderful event is a key event for NCAA individual selection and is our last competitive event heading into the NCAA Championships. Ojai has a wonderful 100 plus year history and is one of the finest collegiate tournaments in the country. I am always excited about the event and our players seem to share this enthusiasm which tends to bring out our best play. On Monday we will find out where we will play our first rounds of the NCAA Team Championship which is on May 2-4. My best guess is that we will head south again and play at Claremont but we have a bid in to host.
