The Slugs Advance to Round 2 of the NCAA Tournament
CLAREMONT, CA -- The Slugs started regionals off with a decisive victory over Cal Lutheran, winning 5-2. This win illustrates the hard work the team has put in this spring: last time the slugs met the kingsmen they they were swept in doubles, setting them up for a 5-4 loss.
However, at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center today the slugs entered their singles matches with a 2-1 lead, and Parker Larson clinched the win in his first start at number 5. This improvement shows the dedication the slugs have to constantly improving their level of play.
Be sure to follow the slugs as they face off against Claremont tomorrow. This should prove to be a tough match as Claremont defeated the slugs at their last meeting. Be sure to follow the results at this link.
