Slugs Defeat Juniata College

SANTA CRUZ, CA-- UC Santa Cruz Men’s Volleyball won their Division-III season opener against Juniata College. The Slugs won in three sets with the following scores: 30-28, 25-20, 25-22. Senior Opposite Hitter Shane Yablonka led the team with 17 kills (0.349 pct). Senior Middle Blocker Thomas Davidson recorded 8 kills (0.438 pct) and 7 Blocks on the night.   (more)

Slugs Fall to Grand Canyon University

SANTA CRUZ, CA—UC Santa Cruz Men’s Volleyball team lost their match against Grand Canyon University (D-II).  The Slugs lost in four sets with the following scores: 19-25, 21-25, 25-22, 22-25. Junior Opposite Hitter Harley Frost led the team with 17 kills (0.342 pct) followed by Sophomore Middle Blocker Will Klepac with 8 kills (.500 pct). (more)

Men's Volleyball Battle at the Slug Dome

NEW YORK CITY, NY—UC Santa Cruz Men’s Volleyball team lost to Hope International University on Saturday night at home in five games 25-16, 25-20. 25-16.Senior Middle Blocker Austin Einhorn led the Slugs with 15  kills with a hitting percentage of .571.  Sophomore Opposite Hitter Harley Frost had 4 kills with a hitting percentage of .800. Freshman Setter Stephen Crane contributed 24 assists to his big first win for the Slugs.   (more)

NEW YORK CITY, NY—UC Santa Cruz Men’s Volleyball traveled out to New York City to participate in the Baruch College Invitational. The third match of the tournament was against The Milwaukee School of Engineering. The Slugs won in three games,  25-23, 25-13 and 25-17. (more)
