February 12, 2006 SANTA CRUZ, CA -- The UC Santa Cruz men's volleyball team is back in the win column with a four game victory over Fresno State (30-23, 30-21, 26-30, 30-13). The win moves the #4 Slugs' record to 6-5 (2-0 NCAA DIII). Setter Matt Reynolds (Sr.) doled out 52 assists while outside hitters Bryan Shires (So.) and Tyler Madden (Sr.) had 15 and 12 kills, respectively. Sophomore David Henderson (Middle Blocker) added 11 kills. The Slugs earned 12 blocks including two solo blocks each by Madden and Jesse Garber (Middle Blocker, So.). The Slugs host Hope International on Friday, Feb.17 at 7 pm. Then, on Saturday, Feb. 18, the Alumni Match is at 5 pm. |
