No. 5 Carthage Sweeps the Slugs in 3

The No. 3 ranked Slugs lost to No. 5 ranked Carthage College to start off their 5 match road trip through the midwest. Carthage outblocked the Slugs 12.5 to 4.5, sweeping the Slugs in 3 games; 30-25, 30-21, 30-22.

Tyler Madden finished the night leading both teams with 14 kills; Sophomore Bryan Shires added 9 kills of his own. Senior setter Matt Reynolds finished with 35 assists.

The Slugs will continue their midwest trip with 2 matches tomorrow at the Milwaukee School of Engineering versus MSOE (1pm) and Cardinal Stritch (3pm).
