Slugs Go Over the Top
SANTA
CRUZ, CA -- UC Santa Cruz Men’s Volleyball team defeated Holy Names University on Saturday night at the West Field House, winning in four games, 30-17, 30-14, 27-30, 30-25.
Senior Outside Hitter Chris Konish led the slugs with 9 kills, and Junior Setter Eric Rowell was next with 8 kills. Eric also contributed 42 assists in the match.
After the Slugs powered through games one and two Holy Names rallied to take the third. The Slugs regained their composer and pushed through to win forth and final game.
The Slugs play their next match Friday night in Stockton against The University of the Pacific. The match is set to start at 7:00 pm.
