Slugs Get Their First WIn On The Road

STOCKTON, CA– UC Santa Cruz Men’s Volleyball team defeated Grand Canyon University on Friday night for their first victory of the season. The Slug’s won in three games, 30-21, 30-27, 30-26.

Senior Outside Hitter Brad Sullivan led the slugs with 13 kills, fallowed by Senior Outside Hitter Justin Lamb and Junior Middle Blocker Austin Einhorn close behind with 10. Senior Setter Eric Rowell contributed 45 assists

Grand Canyon University came out and put the Slugs in a tight spot but the Slugs where able to dig their way out of it. The Slug’s had a combined 36 dig’s during the 3 game battle.

The Slugs play their next match Saturday afternoon at home in the West Field House against Grand Canyon University. The match is set to start at 1:00 pm.
