Slugs Struggle Against Stanford

Stanford, CA—UC Santa Cruz Men’s Volleyball team lost to Stanford University on Wednesday night at Maples Pavilion loosing in three games, 19-30, 27-30, 14-30.

Senior Justin Lam led UCSC with 10 kills to drive the Slugs offence. Junior Austin Einhorn was second in line for the Slugs with 9 kills. Senior Eric Rowell contributed 24 assists for the Slugs.   

The Slugs had a slow start and were unable to keep up with Stanford’s relentless serving game. Stanford had 13 aces with only 9 service errors.

The Slugs play their next match Friday night at home against Holy Names University. The match is set to start at 7:00 pm.
