Slugs Lose A Close One   

RIVERSIDE, CA—UC Santa Cruz Men’s Volleyball were defeated by NAIA #1California Baptist University on Saturday afternoon at Cal Baptist University, losing in five games, 30-26, 20-30, 31-29, 26-30, 11-15.

Senior Justin Lam led the Slugs with 19 kills. Senior Brad was second in line with 13 kills. Eric Rowell contributed 41 assists in the battle.

The Slugs had trouble with Cal Baptist’s aggressive serving game. The Slugs battled back after a tough second game loss to edge out the third game. Cal Baptist served and blocked their way through the fourth and fifth set.

The Slugs play their next match Friday night in at home against Cal Baptist. The match is set to start at 7:00 PM.
