UCSC: Named to the All-Tournament team in the Colorado Tournament in 2006.

HIGH SCHOOL: Gold honor roll, All-Tournament at Whittier Tournament, Honorable Mention of Sunshine League, captain, and helped lead her team to the CIF semi-finals. Was also a scholar athlete in 2005.

PERSONAL: Born June 1, 1987. Melinda's favorite athlete is Logan Tom and her favorite movie is Rudy. Best class taken at UCSC was Civil Rights Movement and favorite place in Santa Cruz is the beach. She has three siblings, Michael (27), Stephen (26), Christina (23) and her parents are Jim and Irene Tom. Part of her extracurricular activities have included Toastmasters, UEA, and XTAX Competition.
