Women's Volleyball Beat Univ. of Redlands in 4 Games
THOUSAND OAKS , CA --UC Santa Cruz Women’s Volleyball team wins their second match of the day against University of Redlands! The Slugs won in four sets with the following scores 25-15, 25-16, 19-25, 25-12.
The Slugs were led by Junior Outside Hitter Katherine Grow with 15 kills followed by Junior Middle Blocker Ginger Berryman with 8 kills and 2 blocks. Sophomore Libero Jessica Peng led the team with 21 digs. Senior Setter Alyssa Trakes contributed 41 assists for the match.
The Slugs dominated the match with superior play on defense. The team totaled 61 digs on the match and, combined with 13 aces, the Slugs maintained control of the game throughout the match.
