Slugs Take Two on Day One of Cal Lutheran Invitational

The UC Santa Cruz Women's Water Polo team won both of their games on the opening day of the Cal Lutheran Invitational Tournament. In the tournament's opening game Cruz started slow only scoring one goal in the first quarter and then giving up a hail mary shot just as the quarter expired for a 1-1 tie.  In the second quarter the Slugs began to get into gear and went on a 3-0 scoring run, eventually winning the game 11-6. In the afternoon game the Slugs were unable to shake the Concordia team until halftime when they began to gradually pull away for a final score of 14-9.
